Hi, I've completed the the SC-1 and the PSU-1848 (it was very easy and the directions were great!). I'm having a little trouble 1U transformer wiring and I saw the sticky for the 2U which is very clear!

Could you please post a similar drawing for the 1U transformer?

One other question. I'm planning on putting everything into one metal box that I bought today. Is there any site that you know of that deals with how to cut out the odd shaped cutouts that will need to be done to properly finish my project.... I'll post pictures as soon as I'm all done!

Thanks!! :D

LSeater, Please download the Assembly PDF guide.. You'd see instructions for both the 2u and 1u transformer on how to wire it, starting at page 3.

The SC-1 project only need round holes (XLR jacks, pots, leds, switches).

The only square cutouts you'd need are the ones for the IEC AC inlet jack. You can drill 4 holes at the corner of each square, jig saw the square cutout, and smooth file the edges.

What odd-shaped cutout do you need to make?

FrontpanelExpress will do one-off jobs. But for a single-piece job, expect to pay more.

Sorry... but that's the least clear section of your documentation to me (I read all of the PDF files several times before and during the build). I felt that the sticky you have for the 2U (last sticky of this section) was very clear compared to the PDF. :?

I did the case already. I used a drill and a file. It turned out great! I'm going to wait to wire up the power until I can get help.

Thanks!

I'll have an illustrated guide for the 1u trafo wiring soon. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! This is much clearer for me... (This is the first DIY project I've ever built.)

BTW, the trafo bolt that comes with the PSU kit is too long to be used in your 1U SC-1 case...I guess I need to get a bolt cutter or use a dremel or something...

Yes, you want to cut it to at least 1.25" length. I just use a hacksaw.

I'm looking for a replacement shorter bolt for use as a substitute. That's the transformer factory supplied bolt.
