Ok. So I just got my Rack and 1U transformer in the mail (well packed!).

Just looking at the Y236104 transformer that is supplied.

Now, if my brain is actually working properly today, and I'm reading the documentation correctly, the wiring should go (For 240V):

Primary (Series wiring!):
Grey to Violet (strip back one and connect other to it and heatshrink)
Blue to Brown (strip back one and connect other to it and heatshrink)

Secondary:
Center Tap = Red to Orange (Series...So just solder together at ends and connect to CT point?)
Black to AC1
Yellow to AC2

Some help would be appreciated:)

For 240V operation,

Connect GRY and VIO together. (heatshrink and insulate)
Connect BLU and BRN to 240V mains line.

Yes, that is correct.

Thanks for the information Owel.

I stupidly made some assumptions about the diagram. I had a look at another transformer diagram after looking at what you said and it occurred to me what was actually going on :)

Today I finally got round to soldering my first SC-1. All went well. Took me about 4hours, but I did check the parts, and I spent a lot of time making sure I soldered the greyhill properly. No solder wick or solder sucker used too... The soldering irons you can get at a hobby shop are a bit too big for such intricate work really, slowed me down no end!

Later this week or this coming weekend I will hopefully get to power her up and give her a go (inside the rack case you sent me recently!) Checked my pre against the faceplate and it fits perfectly too :) If it all works out, I'll probably buy another one soon :)
