Being 50+ years old and wearing bifocals does not lend itself to soldering Greyhill switches, let alone other small parts!!!!
I just finished up assembling:
1 each SC-1
1 each PSU w/toroid
1 each rack case
I mounted the Power Supply Unit PCB using 1/4" plastic spacers and #4-40x1/2" bolts, and fastened it down through the bottom of the case.
You have to drill [duh] through the bottom of the case, but as long as I was drillling for the Toroid, it was no problem.
I have not grounded the XLR jacks yet as suggested.
We fired up the pre, and it was quiet, for sure. We still need to run it through the paces, but so far so good.
Owel was very helpful, thank you, and answered every question I had.
It was kind of a "letdown" to get it done, but now I have room for 3 more SC-1's, and it's time to get going and fill the case with them.

PS---is there a mod available to add transformers to the SC-1 without too much trouble or reworking?
