The SC-1 does not have transformer outputs. It instead uses THAT OutSmarts(tm) technology. So hooking up pin1 (gnd) and pin2 to a jack will work just fine.

The X-12 have a transformer output. If you need to connect a balanced transformer output to an unbalanced input, use pin 2 and pin 3.
