So far, the last 3 big factory orders I've made, there were plenty of problems...

Example: The solid machined knobs I ordered, when I received them back, the shaft holes were just a tiny bit too small to fit in my pots. These are more than a thousand pieces of knobs... all wrong, all unusable... maybe just a 1mm difference in the hole.

So I called the factory on it and anyways, they asked me to send the knobs back, they'll machine it correctly and send it back to me. So that's good customer service and I'm glad they stand behind their workmanship.

Second example, When I re-ordered some 1u rack panels for the X-12 rack cases, all the holes were the same size... as if the CNC machine didn't change bit and just used the same bit for all of them... Called the factory, they apologized, and they redid the job.

My last example is when I got back my X-12 PCBs, the dimensions were off. It looks like they misprogrammed their autorouter. Complained to them blah blah blah... and they'll redo the job and send me replacements.

This is getting tiring sometimes... always something wrong when you re-order them parts from the factory. But the good thing is, the factories have been responsive in correcting their mistakes.

I just have to double-check the parts I get back from my suppliers to see if the quality and specs are correct, that way, I can also deliver quality products to my customers.

Happy to say all of the above issues have been resolved... at no additional cost to me. It's great to have good relationships with your supplier.
