As you all know, the solid machined aluminum knobs I use in my 500 series and X12-mk2 preamps are custom made to my specifications.
I received my latest batch of these knobs a few weeks ago, but only now that I tried to use it.
BIG PROBLEM! Tonight, I discovered the shaft hole diameter of the new aluminum knobs were 0.4mm too small.
That's equivalent to 0.0157 inches too small! - which is a BIG PROBLEM for me. Thousands of knobs that are wrong!
I've emailed the factory about the problem and hope to resolve this soon.
In the meantime, a few kits went out with the wrong knobs. So if you can't fit the knobs into the pots and selector switch in your kit, you're not imagining things. You got the wrong knobs.
I apologize for this, and email me if you're one of those that got the wrong knobs and I will send you a "fixed up" knob.
