I just spent this afternoon setting up my CNC and doing my first cut, making sure the accuracy is good and that circles are coming out are circles.
Happy to report, it's a SUCCESS! Now I'll be able to manufacture rear panels in-house and save manufacturing costs. Will also be able to do custom panels for one-off projects.
I got an 18" LCD TOUCH-SCREEN Monitor on eBay and this thing is sweet. I can control the CNC machine without using the keyboard or mouse.
BTW, the CNC computer is linked wirelessly to my office network via a wireless PCI card. No need to route Cat5 cables down to the garage.
I still want to get a wireless keyboard and mouse though for my setup in the garage. Then it will be a really cool setup.
To do:
Build a safety cage using plexiglass for the CNC machine.
Install work lamps
Install desk mount VESA mount monitor holder/arm.
Study the SheetCam software further.
