So i've gone over the board many times while putting the kit together and now I have a few additional questions.

I'm using two sc1-mk2s in a custom case. My 2nd channel works perfectly and is silent even at high gains. My first channel has an audible buzz and hum at all gain settings, but really gets apparent in the top 6 gain settings. The buzz gets softer when touch the case and shuts up completely if I hold the sm57 connected to channel one. The channel passes audio and works as expected for dynamics, except for the hum.

My first channel also has issues with phantom power. The phantom light comes on, but no audio passes when using condensers. For my case, I had to fly the phantom switch off the board using 6 leads, but have checked the connections multiple times and they seem good.

Any hints or ideas of new things to check would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

also, forgot to mention this, but the phantom light comes on to channel one when the switch is engaged, but there is still no audio. Just a buzz that varies slightly with me touching the case or mic.

Maybe the buzz is coming from a ground issue.

Double check your grounding scheme as per the assembly docs.

Thanks for the tips! Nice seeing you over on this board too!

I did some reworking and improved my grounding abit. Another big problem was that I made my outputs 1/4" jacks and one of the balanced cables I thought I was using as an output was actually unbalanced.

I also went ahead and did another check of everything but found the main cause of the issue. I had left out a 22k6 resistor(resistor 27 i think?). Anyway, It took me a while to find it, but after I put it in, everything works great. Thanks!
