Hello Folks,

Just wondering how one would add a led VU meter to a kit. Owel Do you sell them? and I want to wire the kit making the power supply external. I know I would need a 4 pin xlr. what wire should I use? or would just any 4 conductor cable do.

Thanks
Warren

4 conductor cable is what you need... and maybe a 4pin male/female XLR jack.

Yes, I sell VU meter kits. $19 each.

This may sound like a dumb question..... Is it possible to use 4 conductor Microphone cable by like Belden or Canare. Also, how would you attach the VU meter to the board. Are their mounting points. How can I purchase VU meters I don't see them as a product you offer.

Thanks again.

Some xlr cable is 4 conductor as far as I know. You would have to make sure it does have 4. I bought 18 gauge 4 conductor shielded wire from home depot for my external psu. Home depot seems better than lowes for lighter gauge stuff like that.

I really like the remote psu deal.

Email me or PM me your email address and how many VU meters you want. I'll send you a PP invoice.

You attach the VU meter to your case (or front panel) utilizing some L brackets. Some people glue the LEDs to the front panel, some use brackets.
