do I need to get another roll that is .025 or will .062 be fine?

That is pretty big... i usually use .032 (sometimes .022) for soldering the boards. I think it's a bit of a personal preference. The smaller stuff will be easier to work with. But if you can use the bigger stuff without problem, than i don't see any problems with that.
