Just an update.....

SUCCESS!!!! +18, -18 and +48 volts for phantom power using (2) 9-volt batteries.

Right now, everything is on a breadboard... need to package it and layout a PCB for it. PSU add-on for battery operation will work with my existing PSU-1848 or PSU-2448 Power Supply kit.

Tested operation with my power-hungry FET condenser mic. Oh yeah!!!! Nice hot output and plenty of headroom.

i'm curious to know more about this DC/DC converter, my 2 sc-1 will be powered with battery, i'll need it!

At the moment, I'm using a wall wart to power this converter.
But a single 9V battery also worked in my testing.

awesome, I'm really interested in that PSU. Would you mind sharing some info, so I could build one for my camera? I know from your blog that the converter inside the TS-2 is even better (smaller).
