The Power Transformer Kit is composed of a toroid transformer and related parts to supply power to your project. The transformer is a toroidal transformer with dual primary (115V+115V operation), and dual secondary with mounting hardware included.
The Power Transformer Kit can be used with the PSU-2448mk2 Kit or PSU-4448mk2 Kit AND will fit in a 1u rack.
Toroidal transformers are used mostly in noise-sensitive equipment like mic preamps and high-end audio projects. These transformers are constructed to high standards, and are certified to or in compliance with most worldwide safety agency standards. Transformers uses unique double-insulated primary leads.
Along with the transformer, you also have a standard IEC power inlet, fuse holder, fuse (with an extra spare fuse), a mini toggle power switch, and a Red panel mount LED indicator. The LED indicator lamp is rated 2.1 volts and can be connected directly to the PSU-2448mk2 Kit above (in place of LED1 or LED2)
