These are the knobs I use on the SC-1mk2 preamp. There is a brass set screw so you can use this knob on 1/4" shaft. I think it's a pretty cool looking knob. The finish is smooth, and the feel is great. It doesn't feel like "DIY", if you know what I mean.

I am sorry, but these knobs are NOT made of virgin forest exotic wood, or dipped in C37 lacquer and costs $500.  I think you're on the wrong website if you're looking for that kind of stuff here. :)
